Road racing south of the border this weekend on the junior circuit, my normal go-against driver (Ron Fellows) not racing this weekend but I still found quite a few plays to my liking.
Match-Ups
2.00 units Patrick Carpentier (-110) over Clint Bowyer (@thegreek)
Made some money with Carpentier last year on the roadies and I do like him again this weekend. Finshed 2nd first time out in a Nascar stock car on a road course in Montreal. Seems to get around this place pretty well too. Really smooth.
2.00 units Adrian Fernandez (-180) over Michel Jourdain (@sportsbk)
Hate paying this kind of price but if Fernandez finishes without incident he will beat Jourdain.
Both drivers have a lot of experience on this course but, especially in this series, Fernandez has the much better results (9th, 12th and 10th vs. 25th, 38th and 37th). Something always seems to go wrong for Jourdain.
I realize Fernandez will have to come from the back today but he did it before a few years back and still got a Top 10, think he can very easily do it again.

Going to give Carpentier a shot here too even though I think Ambrose is a definite Top 10 today if not better.

Like the price here in an even match-up. Reutimann ran 12th here last year, if he can repeat that today he should beat Wimmer.
1.00 unit Carl Edwards (-145) over Clint Bowyer (@5dimes)
Going against Bowyer again. Not really plays just against Bowyer but I think they have him matched against two potential winners and I think he is just Top 10 today.
1.00 Scott Pruett (-155) over Kyle Busch (@thegreek)
Call me a sucker. Pruett is an elite road racer maybe the best on the track today and knows how to handle a stock car. Was in Nascar full-time a few years back driving Cal Wells' Tide Ride.
1.00 unit Boris Said (-135) over Marcos Ambrose (@bodog)
Maybe an overplay here going against Ambrose twice, he can potentially win this thing but Boris is too good to pass up (three straight Top 5's at Mexico).
Outrights
Pruett is the favorite today and will be tough to beat but not much value at +200 or +250.
